Robert Schleip
Keynote Speaker
Robert is a human biologist and psychologist. His area of expertise is fascia research. He graduated from the University of Heidelberg in 1980 with a degree in psychology. He is a certified advanced Rolfer and Feldenkrais teacher. In 2006 he received his doctorate in human biology from the University of Ulm and was awarded the Vladimir Janda Prize for Musculoskeletal Medicine. Schleip co-ordinated the first International Fascia Congress 2007 at the Harvard Medical School in Boston.
Schleip has been Director of the Fascia Research Group, Division of Neurophysiology at the University of Ulm since 2008. He worked collaboratively with sports physician Prof. Jürgen Steinacker in 2013 and 2017 to run the event, "CONNECT - Connective Tissues in Sports Medicine". He is also Executive Research Director of the European Rolfing Association, Vice President of the Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation, and Board Member of the Fascia Research Society. As a lecturer, he teaches physiotherapy, orthopedics, and training science. He is the author and publisher of specialist publications on the subject of "Fascia" and is present in the media on this subject.

John Wilks has been practising and teaching the Bowen Technique and Craniosacral Therapy for the last 25 years. In his early 20’s he developed a deep interest in body-centred psychotherapy, yoga and meditation and has since taught in many countries throughout the world including the UK, USA, South Africa, New Zealand, Germany, Bulgaria, Austria, Serbia, Hungary, Poland, Denmark, Portugal, Norway, Israel, Australia, Central America, Brazil, Ireland, Latvia, Estonia and France. He is the author of 6 books – Choices in Pregnancy and Childbirth (2015), An Integrative Approach to Treating Babies and Children (2017), Using the Bowen Technique to address common and complex conditions (2014), Understanding The Bowen Technique and Understanding Craniosacral Therapy and The Bowen Technique - the inside story published in 2007. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences and hosted the recent Human Baby Human Being conference in Bristol. John runs two large internet-based teaching programmes specialising in delivering high quality webinars and courses to health professionals.

Tina has been a Bowen Therapist and senior Bowtech instructor for over 20 years. She discovered Bowen many years ago after sustaining a major spinal injury and was so astounded by her miraculous recovery, decided to study with Ossie and Elaine Rentsch. Like may other Bowen Therapist her passion for her work is unwavering after experiencing astounding results with the Technique time after time. Tina is a proactive therapist, sharing and teaching the gift of Tom’s work from the ‘heart’. After the 2013 Typhoon in the Philippines Tina and a team of volunteers went over to deliver emergency Bowen Therapy Aid to many of the victims. The positive effects of the Bowen work were immediate, with many experiencing deep relief from their trauma symptoms. Tina continued to return to the Philippines to serve effected communities and teach the Bowen Technique. She continued her Bowen emergency Aid work in Dorigo NSW after the 2019 bushfires.
